Eleanor and Blair are the most fun-loving, genuine people you could ever meet. I first met them at Eleanor's childhood home and it felt like a conversation with long time friends. Even Mila tagged along for their engagement session so we're basically family now. I had the privilege of photographing their wedding at All Saints' Episcopal Church and celebrating with all their family and friends for their epic party at the Capital City Club! There were so many special details that made this day so personal for Eleanor and Blair. Eleanor wore Blair's grandmother's jewelry and had a piece of her late mom's dress sewn at the bottom of hers. Even some of the floral vases were from their home. It was all so thoughtfully incorporated to represent their loved ones. My favorite part however was the surprise Eleanor's dad, Rick, had for them at the end of the night - a stunning getaway car! They were all set to exit in a golf cart but the look on their faces when they saw the vintage car was priceless! It was the perfect end to an already spectacular day. The ladies got ready at Eleanor's Maid of Honor, Lucy's childhood home. It was a photographer's dream with all the neutrals and natural light but soon we were off to the Club to get Eleanor in her beautiful dress! There was a threat of rain all day but we were able to enjoy some sunshine for a few portraits until we got caught in the rain on the front lawn of the Club. Thankfully Ellie and Blair and their wedding party didn't mind getting a little wet ...and a light jog to get under cover! Soon it was time to get to the church and get these two married so we could get the party started. The first thing Blair said as they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife and I was squealing "you're married!" was, "did you see that roach?!" HA! Apparently during the ceremony Eleanor and Blair had a little visitor. Only these two wouldn't sweat it. I would have 100% made a scene. Thankfully that was the only eventful thing that happened the rest of the night and everyone just enjoyed dancing and toasting the bride and groom! Eleanor and Blair - thank you so much for including me in your wedding day. It was truly an honor to be there for it all! Can't wait to plan our Avellino's date! Special thanks to Amanda of A.Bloch Photography for capturing the reception details while I photographed the invitation suite! We divide and conquer!
