I guess the third time really is the charm? I think Elizabeth and Kevin must unknowingly do a rain dance every time I come into town. We seriously tried to get their engagement session done twice in 2014 so I was SO happy to finally meet them at Forsyth Park in downtown Savannah! Although it was still a rainy day, the rain held off long enough for us to capture these images! It's hard to believe that I lived so close to Savannah my entire life and never explored Forsyth Park before. The Spanish moss, gorgeous fountain, and amazing architecture surrounding the park make it a truly magical place. I had so much fun getting to know this couple and can't wait to have Elizabeth and Kevin up in my neck of the woods for their Atlanta wedding in April!
I have known Stephanie a LONG time. I'm talking awkward years (still trying to get out of that) long time. I was so excited to finally meet Stephanie's hubby-to-be, Tom... mostly because I knew he would have a British accent (insert "You sound like you're from London!" joke here). We explored one of the many beautiful historic squares in Savannah and then headed down to River Street to catch the sunset. Since I am a firm believer that no family portrait is complete without a dog, we had round two of their engagement session in Statesboro so we could include sweet Diesel. Y'all. It was SO COLD! Stephanie and Tom braved the cold with quick breaks in the car to warm up. I don't think Diesel minded the cold as long as he had his carrots! Steph and Tom - thank you so much for braving the super cold weather! I cannot wait for May!!! Hands + paw picture is a little more difficult when the pup's legs are short! Solution: put Diesel on a table.
I remember holding Lucy as a newborn, letting her tiny hands wrap around my fingers. How on earth was that almost three years ago?! Now big sister Lucy is holding "her baby" so lovingly. I can only imagine what fun adventures await these two sisters. It was truly special to spend so much time with the entire Hutchins family on Friday. Seeing how happy they are as a family of four (sorry Gus, a family of 5) makes me so incredibly happy! Josh & Megan- thank you for sharing your friendship, delicious chicken salad, mimosas, and of course your precious children with me. I hope you love these images as much as I do. I love you all dearly and thrilled to see what God has in store for your beautiful family! James 1:17 I think I have a fabulous second shooter for future shoots! I highly recommend Lucy and her Disney princess "cramera" skills. It still gives me little love-goosebumps to hear Ben Rector's song "White Dress" after hearing how perfectly it seemed to be written for Kelsey and Drew's wedding day. I met Kelsey and Drew in October for their engagement session and it was so apparent that their main focus was on their marriage instead of the wedding. Although you shouldn't let this laid back couple fool you - their wedding in Monroe, Georgia at the Engine Room was absolutely gorgeous with tons of DIY details that made a chilly, gloomy day feel warm and cozy. It was an absolute joy to meet the wonderful friends and family that stood by Kelsey and Drew to support them on their biggest day! From bridesmaid dance parties in the cramped bathroom to groomsmen jumping pictures, this couple's excitement for their marriage was equally matched by those around them. Huge thanks to Amanda Bloch Prior for capturing the gents and special moments throughout the day! This gorgeous veil has now been worn four times as all three sister wore their mom's veil in their weddings! Love this shot captured by Amanda below! Kelsey & Drew - thank you for letting me capture your special day! It was truly an honor to celebrate such a wonderful love story. I wish you all the best!

I love having a fresh start with each new year, but it's also a little sad once the holidays are over. I swear my house wasn't so plain without decorations before! Thankfully fun holiday memories can be captured and relived long after the twinkly lights come down, but sometimes the memories of this special time of year are only captured in iPhone snapshots and live there forever. Sarah reached out to me to capture their family portraits while the entire family was in town visiting for the holidays and I had SO MUCH FUN! I loved learning new knock-knock jokes, encouraging tickle fights and rolling around in the grass, and capturing this wonderful family. Thank you all for taking time out of your short time together to capture these images! I hope everyone had safe travels back home! Happy New Year!
