It is so special to continue to be a part of so many love stories long after the wedding day has passed. Whether it's buying a house, getting a dog, celebrating an anniversary or having a baby, it is an honor to capture the excitement. We headed down to Statesboro before heading out on our cruise (pictures coming soon) and I was able to meet up with Kayla and Josh for their maternity session before we left. I am so thrilled for them to welcome a sweet little girl into the world! Kayla and Josh - love you guys, thank you for continually trusting me with these big moments. Can't wait to love on little Reese!
If you know me, you know I am happiest on the water. When Keleigh and Ben asked me to photograph them at their new home on Wadmalaw Island in South Carolina, how could I say no?! These two have an AMAZING house on the water with lots of room for their dogs Abby and Finnley to run free! On the drive to their place, I literally slammed on the brakes as I drove through a tunnel of old oaks with Spanish moss draping overhead. Did I mention this place is amazing? The southerner in me squealed. Hence, the over-sharing of images. Just can't help it! I had so much fun catching up with these two since I haven't seen them since they moved! Keleigh and Ben - thank you for spending your afternoon with me and braving the cloud of sand gnats to capture these images! I hope you love these as much as I do! Give Abby and Finnley a treat for me!
Goodness, how do I begin to describe our trip with these two?! I met Leilah in a Starbucks in June of 2014 to talk about her wedding plans. She had a total poker face and I couldn't tell if I was getting hired or not. What I also didn't know is that this couple would become two of our best friends and the best travel buddies ever. Once I met James during their engagement session, I knew I had to get our guys together. Over ziti and a fair amount of wine, a friendship was forged and I'm so thankful for it! Leilah and James are both amazing people and together they are an incredible pair that we're blessed to have in our lives. I'm blown away by the wonderful people my business brings into my life. I always hope I have a relationship with my clients that last long after their wedding day because it's such an intimate moment in their lives that I get to capture, but I would have never guessed that I would be going on a week long trip to Hawaii with one of my couples! I am quite confident that I have the best job and the best clients ever! More from our Hawaiian adventure is coming soon, but I had to share these gorgeous images of the Spungs on the beaches of Maui! Part one from their session is from the beach in front of Mama's Fish House (yum) and the second half is from Ironwoods Beach where Morgan and I had OUR pictures taken (more on this later) and I knew I had to photograph them there!
Leilah and James - thank you for dressing up (twice) and letting me do what I love in a place I've fallen in love with! Y'all are the best, we love you! I had the privilege of spending the evening with Tyeler and Jeff while they were in town for the weekend getting things finalized for their wedding... today. Normally engagement sessions happen further in advance but Tyeler and Jeff live in North Carolina where Jeff is stationed. We explored Marietta Square and then headed to Kennesaw Battlefield to catch the last little bit of sunlight. These two were so smitten with each other and obviously so excited to celebrate with family and friends coming into town. Tyeler and Jeff- thank you so much for spending your time together in Atlanta with me! I can't wait to capture your wedding tomorrow!
Whitney and Scott kicked off my 2016 wedding season with a BANG! I had the privilege of photographing these college sweethearts on the very campus where their love began! Their wedding day was absolutely beautiful and we couldn't have asked for better weather, especially in February! Sixty degrees and partly cloudy?! I'll take it!
