Ginny and Devon's wedding planning began two years ago, but their relationship that got them to their beautiful wedding day at Glendalough Manor has been over a decade in the making! I first met Ginny when my business was just a side job. Ginny and Devon took a leap of faith with a very green photographer and have been supporting my growing business ever since! Their wedding day finally arrived and I was so excited to meet Devon for the first time. They are seriously the sweetest people you could ever meet!
I have been dreaming of shooting at Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club and when I met Keleigh and Ben over a year ago, I was so excited to finally shoot at such a gorgeous venue but also to work with an incredibly genuine and fun couple. Needless to say, especially with Candice at the helm, this wedding was flawless! Keleigh and Ben's entire wedding day was seriously fit for a southern Ralph Lauren shoot from the branded paper goods to Keleigh's beautiful one shoulder gown to the groomsmen's fun socks.
Earlier this week I got to spend time with Kate and Trey for their engagement session at one of their favorite cafes in Virginia Highlands, Cacao. They were gracious enough to let us pretty much take over their adorable shop to capture a few pictures before we headed to Piedmont Park where Trey proposed! These two have such a comfortable kind of love and they truly bring out the best in each other. While modeling for the camera was new to them, it was easy to get them to snuggle in close, make each other laugh, and even show off a few dance dance moves. I had so much fun with Kate and Trey and cannot WAIT for their wedding this fall!
Last weekend I had the honor of photographing Alyse and Alex's stunning wedding day at Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta, Georgia. These two were surrounded and celebrated by SO MANY fun and amazing family and friends. It was obvious that this love story had a lot of characters that led up to this beautiful scene. The day began at the Loews Hotel in Midtown (apparently Luke Bryan was there, we sadly didn't get a visit) with Alyse and her sweet bridesmaids just enjoying each moment together. The champagne fizzed, hair was curled, a last touch of gloss was applied and it was time to get into the dress! Alyse and Alex decided to exchange gifts that morning and as Alyse tore through the wrapping paper, she quickly realized that they had gotten each other the same gift - a cross to hang in their home together. Everyone laughed but it was a moment that we all realized this marriage was starting off on the right foot.
These two were total troopers for their engagement session! This April weather has been so much colder than normal and Whitney and Bart braved a 40 degree sunrise engagement session with a photographer that looked like a day-after-a-wedding-zombie and put sentences together about as well as a zombie. I loved seeing these two together, Whitney would curl into Bart for warmth and comfort and it just seemed like their love story was decades old even though their relationship has grown quickly. I guess when you know, you know and these two are certainly excited and ready for their beautiful celebration in June! I can't wait to be there to capture every special moment!
