I had the honor of photographing Whitney and Luke's beautiful wedding day at Dunwoody UMC and Dunwoody Country Club last weekend. As Whitney said during their portrait time, "Today is such a Luke and Whitney day. This is a Luke and Whitney wedding for sure!" and I couldn't agree more. ...Granted, she said this after their amazing wedding party ditched them at the church in the party bus. Everything about their wedding day was so special and a reflection of their love for each other and their families.
I didn't realize that I knew Piedmont Park so well that I would show Kayla and Matt around places in the park they had never been before! I guess that is what happens when you shoot there so much and want to make it a different experience for each couple! Kayla and Matt were so perfectly adorable together! Their snuggles and giggles made my job so easy and I LOVED that they brought footballs for a nod to their alma maters... especially Matt's. HAIL SOUTHERN! ...But I may be a little biased. Kayla and Matt - thank you so much for exploring Piedmont Park with me! I had so much fun with you both!
Last week I headed down to Augusta for Lindsey and Clif's engagement session and I'm so glad we captured their images in a meaningful and beautiful place! I first met Lindsey when she was helping her best friend, Amy during her bridal portraits that I was photographing. I could tell she was such a sweet and genuine person then and now I'm so thrilled that she is also a JD Bride!! We started Lindsey and Clif's session by the river where they enjoy wakeboarding and spending time with friends. They actually met on the water together so it was only fitting that we started by the river and ended at the Augusta Sailing Club. It was such a gorgeous evening and I loved that they incorporated the sailboats into their session as Clif used to sail with his grandfather all the time. These two totally rocked their session and now I cannot wait for their big day in March!! Lindsey and Clif- thank you for spending the evening with me, I hope you love these images as much as I do!!
I had the honor of photographing Ally and Lee's engagement session last week!! We started at Kennesaw Battlefield and ended at sunset at the top of Kennesaw Mountain. It was absolutely GORGEOUS!!! It was a beautiful evening and spectacular sunset, but I was so thankful they had the road open to cars to get to the top so we just had a mini-trek to get to the very top. I loved getting to spend the evening with them, not only are they incredibly sweet but they laugh easily and instantly make you feel like an old friend. We made the most of ever last drop of sunshine and I LOVED it!! Ally and Lee - thank you so much for being such pros and trusting my location choices! I would say it was worth it!!! Can't wait for January, it will be here before you know it!
Even though it's October, it was still a pretty toasty evening for Lindsey and Brooks' engagement session in Chastain! Thankfully it turned out to be a gorgeous night to stroll around the park! We were on a mission to find a spot that Lindsey passes often when walking the Chastain Park loop with friends and while we never found it, we DID find some hidden gems that were absolutely perfect! I had so much fun with these two and they absolutely made my job easy! Lindsey and Brooks - thank you for spending your evening during your busy season with me. Next time we should use those Delta benefits and go to Italy. Deal?!
