Twisha and Max's wedding day at the Landings Pavilion on Lake Oconee truly embodied everything I love about shooting weddings. I photographed Max's sister's wedding last year and when Twisha and Max got engaged (about FOUR MONTHS ago!), they reached out to me first to photograph it. It's not super common for couples to get engaged and married within 4 months, but Twisha and Max did it and managed to do it based on my availability. I was so humbled that they wanted me to be a part of another amazing family event let alone planning it around my schedule. Have I mentioned I have the best couples in the entire world?! Their wedding day fit them to a T and truly epitomized what they wanted their day to be about: celebrating with family and friends... with a LOT of fun and dancing. And it's exactly what they got!
Fall is always a crazy time for engagements and sometimes the weather doesn't seem to want to participate in the season. Thankfully we actually pushed Megan and John's Kennesaw Mountain engagement session a week (so John wouldn't have to remove his cast himself) and it was much cooler than the previous week! Which is a good thing because otherwise they would have been dripping sweat after chasing the dogs when they ran away! Megan and John are the most easy-going people you could ever meet, plus they're absolutely adorable together! Their pups on the other hand were ready for a hike... not so much the picture-takin' thing. However, energetic pups don't bother me a bit especially when they're as cute as Barkley and Bailey! I absolutely loved spending the evening with these two and cannot wait for their big day next year at one of my favorite places, Summerour!!
When you've been in business long enough, your brides start having babies and I LOVE IT! I'm so thrilled the JDP family is growing by one sweet bundle of joy just in time for the holidays! I was so excited to meet up with Whitney and Scott for their maternity session at Amerson River Park in Macon, Georgia where they live. Even though their wedding was over a year and a half ago, it felt like hanging out with old friends. Whitney and Scott are so sweet together and I loved seeing them in this new phase of life. The light was gorgeous, Whitney's bump was adorable and now I cannot WAIT to meet Greer! Whitney and Scott - thank you for letting me share in this exciting time. I am thrilled for you two!!
Last week I had the pleasure of hanging with Jackie, Alex and Fin not once, but TWICE!! I think wine and burritos at Ponce City Market should be a weekly tradition. While we were hoping for a gorgeous fall day for their session, it was HOT. Thankfully these two were troopers and we captured some fun and beautiful portraits. Alex arranged for a photographer to capture their actual engagement so I was exited to work with pros! These two are obviously best friends, but Jackie and Alex are also so smitten with each other. They had a hard time NOT smiling which made my job a breeze. I am SO excited for their wedding next spring and although I don't give up my Cinco de Mayo plans lightly, these two are worth it! Jackie and Alex - thank you so much for taking time out of your busy week to capture these images! I hope you love them as much as I do!
Kalie and Joseph had a perfect fall wedding weekend in Blue Ridge at Willow Creek Falls... minus the fall weather. It was such an honor to be a part of these two study buddies' big day and a true joy to see how many people traveled from near and far to celebrate them. Although Kalie's family lives in North Georgia, it was a destination wedding for Kalie and Joseph and it was a weekend getaway for me! I loved that Kalie and Joseph chose such a natural setting for their wedding and got married under an old oak tree. It fit their styles and personality to a T!
