You know you've found your ideal clients when they not only bury a bottle of bourbon to keep the rain away, but they insist you take a swig of it with them. To be fair, I knew they were the perfect couple for me when I met them for a drink and we ended up talking for over two hours over bourbon. I'm so glad I was able to be a part of Carolyn and Greg's gorgeous fall wedding at Dunwoody Country Club on Saturday! Surrounded by the most fun group of family and friends, these two said "I do!" on the front lawn (without a drop of rain!) and danced the night away to Band X! With lush and organic florals dressing up the ballroom by Heather of Stems Atlanta, a blue cake by Lush Cakery and late night chicken fingers passed around to the guests, the entire day fit Carolyn and Greg to a T - a little mix of traditional, vintage, organic, and a lot of fun.
Karlee & Kyle's wedding day was a long time coming and I'm so grateful I was there to capture it all at Primrose Cottage! These college sweethearts are two of the sweetest people you could ever meet. They were both anxious to see each other for their first look but all the jitters fell away once they saw each other... and they really forgot all about any jitters when Karlee pointed out that Kyle forgot to zip his pants. The comic relief was the perfect way to start off their portraits. Their whole day was so laid back and they could not have had more perfect weather for a fall wedding.
St. Simons is a special place for Hannah and Trey, as it is where they got engaged and where they will be married next spring! I am so glad they wanted to do their engagement session on the island because it is so beautiful! The Spanish moss, palm trees, and gorgeous sunsets over the water are a photographer's dream... not to mention it meant we got an impromptu family vacation too! Hannah and Trey met a year ago and on their first date enjoyed a trip to a brewery followed by Mexican food and margaritas. As Trey put it, "we had beer, Mexican, margaritas, and then I fell in love." When you know, you just know and I know these two have a lifetime of smiles and laughter ahead of them. Hannah and Trey are so comfortable with each other and can't look at each other without grinning ear to ear. We started their session at the Lighthouse where Trey proposed, and then hopped over to the church where they will get married. Our final stop was at Epworth, where we had a sunset that was quite the finale! The only thing that could've made it better was having their adorable dog Charlie there... but thankfully he'll be attending the wedding. Hannah and Trey - thank you so much for making the trip down and giving me an excuse to have a weekend at the beach! I cannot WAIT for March!!
