I'm so happy that I was able to help this family capture an exciting time in their lives after a recent move to Atlanta! Rowan is still getting used to his new digs but it is obvious to see that the Kristine and Ryan are making their new house a home filled with love! Thank you all for letting me turn your lives upside down for an afternoon and I hope your move-in was successful. Happy Holidays!
If you can find time to read this in between shopping for groceries, watching parades, and cooking for visiting family and friends... actually let's be honest, just read this AFTER Thanksgiving.
This time of year is my favorite for so many reasons. Cold weather makes us all snuggle a little closer together. Thanksgiving makes us more thoughtful about giving back and counting our blessings. The holidays bring family, friends, and laughter into our homes and my only complaint is that we can't live this way throughout the year. This week I have taken time just for myself (selfish I know) and it has given me time to just reflect and be still... After doing laundry, grocery shopping, and editing hundreds of images of course. I think we are all in the pursuit of stretching time to cram in everything on our to-do lists instead of just slowing down and clearing our calendar a bit. I'll be the first to admit - I fail miserably at this. My calendar has been about as full as my belly after Thanksgiving dinner but I am so amazingly blessed and thankful that it has been busy. Turning a passion into a business has been exciting, challenging, crazy, and amazing all in one. I am so very grateful to all of my clients who have shared my passion with family and friends. It is such a joy to meet new people and see love in action whether it is between a couple to be wed or parents with their children. I love the feeling of sharing the milestones and special moments in your lives. My business has grown so quickly that I feel as if I have not expressed just how much I appreciate the love and support you all have given me. Nothing makes me happier than happy clients that adore their pictures and I look forward to capturing your special moments for years to come. Not only am I thankful for my client family but my family and friends and friends as well. Y'all are absolutely the best. You all know that I am my own worst critic. so I thank you for bringing me up when I feel discouraged and spreading the word about my business. I love you all so dearly. I am thankful beyond measure for my husband, Morgan, who has supported me and my dreams from the very beginning. It means the world to me that you are as excited about this adventure as I am and I love you for it! If you're still reading and hopefully thinking about all of the things you're thankful for, then my mission is complete. Here's to wishing you and yours the happiest of holidays and may it be filled with love, laughter, and lots of good wine... Cheers! The college experience is different for everyone but there is one timeless book that seems to capture the move into the next chapter of life perfectly... “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...” ― Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You'll Go! Congratulations, Sarah! You should be so very proud of all of your accomplishments. GO JACKETS!!!
I was so fortunate to be able to play in Piedmont Park with Bradley in August and when Alicia asked if I could shoot her birthday I was so excited! Not only did Bradley have family and friends helping her celebrate her second birthday, but she had a puppet show as well! It was quite a 2 year old's fanta-sea! Bradley - I hope you had the happiest of birthdays and that you can look back on these when you're older and see how much your family loves you!
I love each and every family that I am blessed to work with but nothing makes me happier when friends from back home move to Atlanta and I can capture sweet little ones like Davis! From his John Deere wagon (thanks Uncle Will!) to the smocked top, Davis is quite the Southern charmer. Even the dog had a cute and festive sweater! Big thanks to the Gifford Family for spending your morning with me at Murphy Candler Park! I hope you love these as much as I do!
