This couple is the perfect example of why I don't put a time limit on my sessions. When I have a pair like Megan and Nick who are so natural and comfortable together, not to mention amazing locations, I just can't stop. We started out at Georgia Tech before heading to the St. Regis in Buckhead. A chilly stroll through campus led us to so many hidden gems of Georgia Tech. You don't really feel like you're in Atlanta when you're surrounded by gorgeous fall leaves and strolling through a stunning roof top garden! After spending a lot of time outdoors, we were thankfully able to thaw a bit in the warmth of the St. Regis. It was the perfect place for these two to capture a sophisticated, modern, Mad Men-esque style images... and I LOVED IT! Megan and Nick - thank you guys for spending your entire morning with me! I hope you love these as much as I do. Can't wait for next September!
I met this couple in March to discuss their wedding plans and just get to know a little more about their love story. After our meeting and spending time together on their engagement session, which seems like ages ago, I was sure of a few things... 1. This would be a very organized wedding (hooray!). 2. Every detail would be stunning 3. The reception would be a BLAST and finally, 4. I would absolutely love this couple. And on November 8th, I was not disappointed. Sara and Dustin have a wonderful way of making you feel like a part of their inner circle the second you meet them. To be able to capture this amazing milestone in their lives was such an honor and to get to know their family and friends was an absolute joy. They were surrounded with love, laughter, and a few happy tears as they became husband and wife. Sara and Dustin - thank you both so much for letting me be a part of the celebration and I can't wait for a puppy play date when y'all get home! Enjoy!
Huge thanks to Ann Colwell for capturing the guys getting ready... and just generally being awesome.
Another great shot by Ann below!
Loved learning about this Swiss wedding tradition... Curious to see how far they traveled!
That moment when.... your bride "Ices" you by putting it in the garter.
Thank you guys again for letting me celebrate this exciting time in your lives. You are truly an amazing couple and can't wait to hear about the honeymoon!

I don't know many couples that are immediately comfortable in front of a camera. It's quite possible that I really found my love for photography after volunteering to take everyone else's picture just so I could stay behind the camera. I have a few tricks to make my couples feel comfortable and confident in their pictures but I think this pair had the BEST remedy - lots of hilarious one liners. Normally I'm the one trying to get couples to laugh but Rich had me rolling! Thank you both for exploring the park with me on a chilly afternoon. I cannot wait for your big day in May!
When your teenage daughter tells you it's time to update the family photos, you know it's time to schedule a session! As kids get older, your calendar fills up quickly with practices, music lessons, and just generally being a taxi driver (thanks, Mom!). It is so easy to let years go by before capturing a beautiful family portrait... that doesn't just live on an iPhone. I had so much fun getting to know the Villa family! They are an amazing example of a grounded family that genuinely loves being together and making each other laugh. Thank you, Nicole for reminding your parents to update the family portrait and a big thank you to the entire Villa family for letting me have fun with you on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon!
Elizabeth and Josh were such troopers as our venture to Lullwater Park was neither quick or super easy to get to! They certainly knew how to make this photographer a tad nervous as we crossed a suspension bridge to explore the park. If you know me well, you know that I really don't like heights and crossing a bouncy bridge is also not my idea of fun. However spending the evening with these two made it totally (obviously) worth it! Thank you both for going on a mini hike with me and braving an unseasonably chilly day to capture this exciting time in your lives! I can't wait for next October!
