It is so easy to let time slip by before getting your picture taken after your wedding day, but anniversary sessions create some of my FAVORITE images because you can just feel a deeper kind of love and comfort after getting some marriage under your belt. I met up with Cassidy and Josh and their sweet pups for a sunrise session at Tanyard Creek park and it was a CHILLY morning! I realized I had to reposition them a few times when you could see their breath in the morning light! Thankfully they were total troopers and just enjoyed snuggling up together and kept the biggest smiles the entire time! Cassidy and Josh - thank you so much for joining me so early in the morning to capture these! I hope you love them as much as I do!
FINALLY I can share these gorgeous images now that Kate is a married woman! She was absolutely stunning in this Anne Barge gown and I was so thrilled to be able to get a sneak peak of her bridal look for her portrait session in Augusta at a family friend's beautiful home. Kate is the perfect vision of classic elegance and I loved getting to spend the afternoon with her and her mom, Jeanne. The added bonus was that I got to meet their pup, Chloe who is so stinkin' cute!! Special thanks to the amazing help of Suzanne of Wesley Cadle for ensuring Kate's dress stayed pristine and constantly arranging a shower curtain underneath her, climbing in bushes so I could test the light and holding back branches!! I can't wait to share Kate and Trey's stunning images, but for now - enjoy these beauties!
Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Jordyn and John at Piedmont Park for their engagement session. I was so thrilled to hear that they were bringing their fluffball, Lily. Thankfully Jordyn's friend joined in on the fun to keep Lily company while we got shots of just the two of them, but have no fear - Lily made plenty of appearances. These two were SUCH naturals in front of the camera. I kept asking Jordyn and John if they had done this before or if they were secret models. Jordyn said, "we just like to snuggle!" and honestly folks, that is like 99% of what I hope for in my couples. It's the secret to looking natural for the camera and I think it shows with Jordyn and John. I had so much fun with them and cannot WAIT for their wedding next summer! Jordyn and John - thank you so much for spending your day off with me! I hope you love these as much as I do!
I had the honor of capturing and celebrating Eryn and Adam's wedding day at Rocky's Lake Estate. When I first met these two, I was blown away by their excitement for life in general. Eryn and Adam are contagiously joyful and playful and so obviously in love. They are each other's perfect complement. Everything about their day truly fit their personalities and of course Eryn's love for all things Wizard of Oz.
The Tate House was absolutely the PERFECT venue for Eleanor and Jonathan's wedding day! The pink marble, lush gardens and views of the North Georgia mountains just created a romantic southern atmosphere that fit them to a T. Eleanor and Jonathan's wedding day was filled to the brim with beautiful details but what made it so wonderful to photograph was the pure joy and happiness that overflowed throughout their day. These two were surrounded by family and friends that had watched them grow up together but more importantly grow together as a couple. It was truly special to be a part of this milestone in their love story and share in the excitement with their fun guests, but it was also surreal to have my past and present job collide! I first met Eleanor when I worked at Georgia Tech and she was on the board for a student group I supervised! Talk about loyalty!!!
