I'm going to get real here for a second. Dig a little deeper beyond the pretty images I get to create and share. I want to take a minute and reflect on the recipe of what made 2015 an awesome and absolutely overwhelming year.
No ladies and gentlemen, I'm unfortunately not talking about an epic lamp (FRA-GEE-LAY, must be Italian). I have exciting news that I've honestly just been too busy to properly share but I am THRILLED to announce that Jill Doty Photography has been awarded The Knot Best of Weddings again this year!!!
I had the honor of working with Taylor of Taylor Dawn Design on a styled shoot (coming soon I promise!) and when she asked me to photograph her with her hubs I was so excited! From what I had heard, Kurt and Morgan were very similar so I knew we would get along fabulously! As expected when Taylor and I seem to plan things, it rained. But these two brushed it off and I would say these images were worth it. After a few minutes at Blackburn Park, the rain picked up so we headed to my friends over at Big John's Christmas Trees (see my post about my Christmas card, they're the best) for a few Christmas inspired shots! I can say without a doubt that this was the best smelling session I have ever had. As a Christmas junky, to be surrounded by Christmas trees was a dream and to have a sweet (and gorgeous) couple to photograph was icing on the cake!
The sweet Findley family joined in on the mini session fun at Kittredge Park but after several weeks of rain, reschedule, repeat, it meant dad would be out of town for the session. Thankfully we were able to capture these fun memories before the holidays and we'll make time in the spring to have the whole gang together again! Next time I will remember the marshmallows, right Susie? Thank you all so much for spending your Sunday morning with me!
Davis is my newest real-life Elf on the Shelf. How cute is he?! I have been photographing Davis since he was just a little guy and I could not believe how much he had grown when I saw him for his mini session earlier this fall at Kittredge Park! I absolutely love this family and always have so much fun with them... not to mention Delano! Thank you Brooke and John for letting me have another year of fun with your growing boy!
