It is such an honor to be a part of creating memories for families and I have been able to capture sweet Mary Collier for the past THREE years! How in the world has time flown by that quickly?! It is so special to see how much her personality has really taken shape. She is curious, silly, smart, and not afraid to bust out some dance moves or belt out a song. Mary Tipton and Keith - thank you so much for your continued support and letting me be a part of your family even just for a little bit on a Friday afternoon! Y'all are awesome!
Last year I had the honor of photographing sweet Virginia before her first Christmas and I cannot believe it has been a YEAR! She has grown into a curious, silly, and genuinely sweet 1.5 year old, or as they say when you become a parent, 18 month old. Virginia was all smiles and absolutely precious! I loved spending time with Ashley and Michael on a sunny Saturday morning at Georgia Tech capturing these fun memories of their family of three!
As a photographer, there is a little bit of (completely self imposed) pressure to have an amazing Christmas card. I have the honor of capturing so many couples and families that grace the front of those cards, but our little family of three is rarely in front of the camera. This year I didn't want to go for the traditional, posed portraits we usually take (don't worry, that one is on the back). Around September a few friends sent me pictures of a couple in Australia that had taken "newborn" photographs with their dog. With a lot of humor and touch of satire, this child-less couple (probably also asked when they were having kids) had a little fun recreating those as-seen-on-Pinterest shots of newborns. These images inspired me to do something a little different... and skip straight to the toddler stage. I hoped others also thought it was funny and not just assume we were total weirdos obsessed with their dog (we are). I told Morgan of my lofty plans... he laughed. Then he realized I was serious. If you know me well, you know that when I have my mind set on something, come hell or high water, it will happen.
The only wrinkle in this plan was our dog, Molly, who is absolutely afraid of everything.
Last weekend I had the honor of capturing Hillary and Jeff's engagement session on the Atlanta Beltline! I was so excited that Hillary and Jeff wanted to have their engagement session in a few of their favorite spots along parts of the Beltline that I haven't explored yet! Atlanta has so many really amazing places to shoot and I loved checking out new places with these two!
Last week I had the privilege of capturing two of the sweetest, silliest people you could ever meet at the very place they first met, Georgia Tech! With the marathon of rain earlier in November, we rescheduled for the week of Thanksgiving as Adam is a teacher and had the whole week off! I was thankful to get out of the house (and away from food) but of course Eryn being Eryn, she brought these delicious caramel treats for me to their session! Did I mention these two are the sweetest?
