I had the honor of photographing Kate and Trey's beautiful wedding day at the Augusta Country Club and Trinity on the Hill UMC. I knew these two were special, but seeing just how many people came to support Kate and Trey on their big day made me more aware of the impact their love and friendship has on the people in their lives. When you're around them you feel like you're a part of the family, like you've known them for years and like you're the most important person in the room. I am so grateful for sweet clients like this.... even if they set me up for a challenge with no first look and a ceremony after sunset! Before heading to meet up with Kate and her bridesmaids, I got to have a breakfast date (that of course turned into brunch with how much we talk) with one of my favorite past brides! When you're traveling for weddings, even if it's only a few hours away, it's such a treat to spend time with friends! While I was stuffing my face at a popular Augusta eatery, the ladies started their day, cozy in their matching pajamas at the Augusta Country Club. Kate's bridesmaids were all so incredibly sweet and it was so fun to see how excited they were for this day! Once their Jenny Yoo gowns were hand-tied and an extra coating of hairspray applied, we headed out into the chilly, windy day for some portraits. We quickly got bundled up and headed to the church as the sun was setting. The pews filled and Kate and Trey shared their vows in front of those they love most. After the ceremony, they hopped into a vintage Bentley to head to the party that awaited them! We gathered the bridal party outside for a quick group shot before a rapid fire portrait session with Kate and Trey out in the cold! They were troopers... and I was pretty thankful for the large, covered, all-white porch outside the Country Club! The rest of the night was filled with delicious southern cuisine, dancing and photobooth fun as Kate and Trey celebrated this incredible milestone with their amazing family and friends. No one wanted the wedding end but guests enjoyed one last moment with the newlyweds as the showered (or pelted) them with flowers as they made their getaway! Kate and Trey- thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day! I hope you had an amazing trip!!! As much as I would like to be in a thousand different places on a wedding day, I can't. So I am SO thankful for my new friend Becky of Casto Photo for shooting with me and capturing this fun group of gents!!
