I had the pleasure of hanging out with the Ferguson family and their newest addition, Miss Elsie Jayne! Although I am pretty sure Elsie's big brother, Baxter, thought I was there for him. I can't say I hated getting to love on him a little too! Elsie was a champ throughout her session and just wanted to snuggle and she especially enjoyed the warmth of the beautiful blankets her great grandmothers made for her. Rebecca and TJ were already so comfortable in their new roles as Mom and Dad. This little one is so lucky to have them as her parents and for the big support system of family and friends excited to watch her grow. Congratulations again you two (three)! I am so happy I was able to capture this fleeting time in your lives!!
Sometimes the newborn phase is so fleeting... and exhausting and overwhelming... that pictures just aren't on the radar. Brooke reached out wanting to make sure she captured this chapter in their lives before Caroline lost some her baby-ness and I'm so glad she did! I actually LOVE getting to photograph babies at this stage as they look more like the little person they're becoming, and if you're lucky you can snag a real smile or two! Brooke and Drew are obviously so smitten with their baby girl, but it's also obvious they still love their "first born" and fur baby, Bailey. Bailey wears the Big Sister title proudly and loved getting in on the photos during their session! Brooke and Drew - enjoy each and every cuddle and new milestone, it goes by so fast! Hopefully these images will help you relive this sweet time with Caroline as she grows and changes into the beautiful girl I know she'll be! Thanks for having me!!
I was the third (non-medical) person to meet sweet Lucy. She was only an hour into this world and had already wrapped her parents around her little fingers... and may have made my uterus ache a little. Her perfect little face and tiny little fingers... just makes you melt. I was so honored that Haley and Thomas wanted me to capture those first few moments as a family of three. It's an incredible and fleeting time and I'm just so glad Lucy made her arrival before I had a wedding to shoot so I could be there. Once these three were settled in at home, I was able to capture all the newborn sleepy, squishy-ness. Thomas and Haley are still in the "what are we supposed to be doing now?!" phase but they are already so comfortable in their roles as Mom and Dad. Lucy girl, you are in such good hands and Mila is all ready to show you the way (for better or worse). I cannot wait to watch you grow up and grow into your own little personality. Thomas and Haley - YOU'VE GOT THIS! And when you think you don't, you have an entire support system ready to help... I for one volunteer as tribute for baby snuggles when you need a break. LOVE YOU GUYS!
I hope one day my kid(s) are as thoughtful as Paul and Jane's kids. This year for Mother's Day they gifted her something truly timeless - a family portrait session! There's always a reason NOT to have pictures done: schedules get crazy with activities, nap times don't align... let's face it - taking pictures with young kids can be stressful and feel daunting but I promise it is worth it. Plus when you have two generations of Mom-pros, they know all the tricks! We were able to spend the morning at Cator Woolford Gardens capturing just about every combination under the sun with the grandkids and the individual families. The Little family was up first. Evan and Seth weren't too sure at first but warmed up the second they were in charge of getting their little cousin, Elliot (who happens to be Mila's favorite date at the food truck park ), to smile. Everyone got to snuggle, chase and have a little fun but most importantly we ended with a chocolate treat! To all the Schwartzes - thank you for letting me capture this sweet chapter in your familys' lives. See you at the park!
I have the incredible honor of photographing some of the most cherished moments in my clients' lives. I was fortunately able to capture Madeline and David's stunning wedding day, but getting to see these two more in love with each other and already so in love with their little one was extra special. Although I will admit that the icing on the cake was seeing images from their engagement session and wedding day all over the walls of their new home. Now I can't wait to see images from Emerson's newborn session hit the frames! This cutie is one lucky little boy - his parents are already pros at being Mom and Dad, but Madeline and David make a great team as well. Emerson didn't want to miss the action during his big shoot and his big curious eyes soaked it all in. Thankfully at the end of the session he decided a nap was in order... and I think David may have been ready for one too. Madeline and David - thank you so much for welcoming me into your home to capture this sweet time. I can't wait to see Emerson grow and maybe join in on a few walks when it isn't 1000 degrees outside! Love you guys!!
