For almost seven years I have had the pleasure of having Sara and Dustin in front of my camera. First for their engagement, then wedding and many times over as their family has grown. I am so excited for the White family as they are awaiting the arrival of a baby BOY! It's so fun being pregnant at the same time with your friends... mostly so we can gripe about the same punches to the bladder and lack of sleep BEFORE the baby even comes, but I am just excited to meet and love on this newest member of my favorite crew. If he is half as cool as his big sister, I know we will all adore him. Anna is full of so much spunk, curiosity and sweetness and she's going to be the best big sister! Sara and Dustin - thank you for always including me in your huge milestones... extra bonus points for bringing Bear and Kathy and Phil this time too!! LOVE YOU GUYS!
Morgan and I had a little getaway to North Carolina for Meghan and Ryan's engagement session and even though we had to shift our plans to accommodate the weather, it was SO FUN! I loved getting to see Meghan and Ryan's home in Charlotte and meet their sweet pup, Ivy. Morgan was the perfect bag holder and Ivy-wrangler. We ventured out to one of Meghan and Ryan's favorite parks before heading to a parking deck for the perfect view of the Charlotte skyline. Watching these two just be silly together was such a joy and they were total troopers for being brave on the parking deck ledge... kidding! Although as someone that's afraid of heights even the cement wall 50 feet from the edge was too close for comfort! I cannot wait to celebrate another Gentry wedding and see these two tie the knot next summer! Meghan and Ryan - thank you guys for having us and letting us love on and totally tire out your sweet pup.
Sometimes the newborn phase is so fleeting... and exhausting and overwhelming... that pictures just aren't on the radar. Brooke reached out wanting to make sure she captured this chapter in their lives before Caroline lost some her baby-ness and I'm so glad she did! I actually LOVE getting to photograph babies at this stage as they look more like the little person they're becoming, and if you're lucky you can snag a real smile or two! Brooke and Drew are obviously so smitten with their baby girl, but it's also obvious they still love their "first born" and fur baby, Bailey. Bailey wears the Big Sister title proudly and loved getting in on the photos during their session! Brooke and Drew - enjoy each and every cuddle and new milestone, it goes by so fast! Hopefully these images will help you relive this sweet time with Caroline as she grows and changes into the beautiful girl I know she'll be! Thanks for having me!!
I FINALLY got to meet Morgan and Trey for their engagement session last weekend! Soon after they booked me, they moved to Texas and our calendars never quite seemed to align. We had the date set for Friday evening and it was an 80% chance of rain all day... *big surprise* I know. Thankfully they were willing to squeeze in time before their flight on Sunday because it looked like we were finally going to get some sunshine! We met up at Chastain Park and since it was such a gorgeous day, my little motley crew decided to take a stroll before the session. Our dog Molly almost got to jump in their photos... but she did manage to jump all over Morgan and Trey. Thankfully they were good sports. These two both grew up and went to high school in the Atlanta area but didn't start dating until later on, but you can tell there is a comfort and familiarity that comes from knowing each other a long time. Morgan and Trey - thanks for being so flexible with your last weekend home before the big day! I absolutely loved getting to spend the afternoon with y'all! Can't wait for April!
I had the pleasure of spending a gorgeous evening on Georgia Tech's campus with Meredith and Michael. We retraced their steps of how their love story began and hit all the meaningful hot-spots on campus. Meredith and Michael met at orientation and ended up in the same dorm and a few classes together. After a few months, they were "official". Gotta love a Georgia Tech love story that begins right from the start at FASET! When I asked Meredith if she had any specific shots in mind she said, "No, I just want these pictures to show how happy and in love we are. Because we are!". And in that moment I fell in love with these two. They're literally almost giddy with each other and I had a blast capturing this exciting time in their lives. Meredith and Michael - thank you for making the trip from North Carolina for your engagement session! I hope you love these as much as I do!
