I first met Grace when she was a student at Georgia Tech and I was working in the admission office. Even then you could tell that this girl was fierce and she was going to do whatever she set her mind to do. As anyone who worked on this wedding could tell you, she is also quite the planner. However the one thing she couldn't plan was how and when Jack would propose. Although in the short time that I've known Jack, even I could tell that he was going to do it in his own time and it would be super intentional. He is definitely a man with a plan and when he sets out to do something, he is all in. Just like when he went foraging for flowers and plants on his bachelor party and dehydrated them in the oven so he could fly them home for the rehearsal dinner decor! That is quite the dedication to a vision, don't you think? I was able to photograph their rehearsal dinner as well as their wedding day and it was so sweet to hear the [many] toasts and kind words about this couple. Jack and Grace seemed to be surrounded by the most amazing support system all weekend and I was so thankful to be a part of it right until the very last sparkler-lit kiss! We had four locations for the wedding day which meant we had to be on our A-game for logistics. We started the day at Grace's mom's gorgeous home, where Grace got on the ground and played with her dog Violet... after her hair and makeup were done of course! Grace slipped into her mom's dress and we headed to our second location, Capital City Club, for her first look with Jack. I don't know how it's possible but Jack did a happy dance and also shed a tear when he saw Grace for the first time. However, we had another stop - the church! So we wiped away tears and knocked out portraits with the wedding party in the green room (which felt quite appropriate considering Grace's color scheme) and loaded onto the trolley to get to Cathedral of Christ The King. Grace and Jack's ceremony was so beautiful and personalized, and it ended just in time before the pop-up storm rolled in! Our final stop of the day was the Estate. I LOVE this venue during the day, but it truly sparkled when we pulled up long after the sun had set. The tables were lush with blooms and lit by candles. The rest of the night was filled with music from the Emerald Empire Band, an epic first dance for Grace and Jack, a late night ice cream treat for all the guests and a beautiful Bentley to whisk the newlyweds off into married life! Grace and Jack - thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your wedding weekend! I hope you're having a blast in Italy!!! HUGE thanks to Amanda of A.Bloch Photography for capturing Jack and tackling this day with me! And sometimes accidents happen...
