You know you've found your ideal clients when they not only bury a bottle of bourbon to keep the rain away, but they insist you take a swig of it with them. To be fair, I knew they were the perfect couple for me when I met them for a drink and we ended up talking for over two hours over bourbon. I'm so glad I was able to be a part of Carolyn and Greg's gorgeous fall wedding at Dunwoody Country Club on Saturday! Surrounded by the most fun group of family and friends, these two said "I do!" on the front lawn (without a drop of rain!) and danced the night away to Band X! With lush and organic florals dressing up the ballroom by Heather of Stems Atlanta, a blue cake by Lush Cakery and late night chicken fingers passed around to the guests, the entire day fit Carolyn and Greg to a T - a little mix of traditional, vintage, organic, and a lot of fun. I arrived to Carolyn's childhood home in Dunwoody, greeted by their adorable dogs - Wrigley and Gigi, and all of the ladies were just about done with hair and makeup. Everyone looked gorgeous and quite comfy in their monogrammed shirts. Soon it was time to head to the Club to put on the finishing touches and get Carolyn and Greg ready for their first look. Once they saw each other, they both visibly relaxed. Everything flowed smoothly as they had time alone (with 2 photographers and 2 videographers) for portraits and then got to hug their family and friends before wrapping up all of the pictures before their ceremony. As Carolyn made her way down the aisle to Greg, his eyes filled with tears. It was the sweetest moment and I'm pretty sure there wasn't a dry eye in attendance. These two shared so many sweet moments and big laughs throughout their day but that was one of my favorites... that and when they were singing "Living on a Prayer" on stage. The night ended appropriately with a huge flurry of confetti as Carolyn and Greg left for the night as newlyweds. Carolyn and Greg - thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day!
