Last weekend I had the honor of photographing Alyse and Alex's stunning wedding day at Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta, Georgia. These two were surrounded and celebrated by SO MANY fun and amazing family and friends. It was obvious that this love story had a lot of characters that led up to this beautiful scene. The day began at the Loews Hotel in Midtown (apparently Luke Bryan was there, we sadly didn't get a visit) with Alyse and her sweet bridesmaids just enjoying each moment together. The champagne fizzed, hair was curled, a last touch of gloss was applied and it was time to get into the dress! Alyse and Alex decided to exchange gifts that morning and as Alyse tore through the wrapping paper, she quickly realized that they had gotten each other the same gift - a cross to hang in their home together. Everyone laughed but it was a moment that we all realized this marriage was starting off on the right foot. Alyse and Alex had their first (quick) look at Fernbank and then we headed to Druid Hills Presbyterian. The guests filed in and music filled the sanctuary. Suddenly I realized that on opposite sides of the church, Alyse and Alex were doing the EXACT same thing - both were right outside the doorway to the sanctuary listening to the beautiful music. I'm telling you these two are just extensions of each other and it is something so wonderful to capture. After the ceremony the newlyweds were VERY ready to join their party and I can't blame them, it was quite a beautiful soiree. Alyse and Alex - thank you for allowing me to capture this special day for you. I am very jealous you're going on the trip of a life time soon but I hope you have lots of wine and gelato for me in Italy! I am SO thankful for Lindsey of Lindsey LaRue Photography for helping me capture this wedding day!
