For any other couple, I would say that I have been quite involved in their love story after I captured their proposal, engagement, and wedding day. However, Kayla and Josh's love story started long before I was ever in the picture (no pun intended). I have a soft spot in my heart for high school sweethearts, that is how my husband and I met, so needless to say I have a REALLY soft spot for these middle school sweethearts! It is no surprise that Kayla and Josh's relationship has flourished over time with the support of their loving friends and family. Their special day had a stormy start but with lots of prayers and a few rain dances it turned into a gorgeous day. Each detail was dripping in coastal, southern charm from the DIY bow ties, burlap ribbon, monogrammed fishing shirts, pink peonies and bridesmaid dresses, cupcakes in mason jars, and swaying palm trees. It was truly a blessing to not only photograph this wedding but just to spend time with this amazing group of people. You don't know southern hospitality until you spend a weekend with Kayla and Josh's families and friends. To say that I adore these folks is definitely an understatement! I hope you all love these images as much as I do! So sit back, grab a glass of sweet tea (or pink margarita), and enjoy!
Much love,
Jill
