I had the honor of photographing Betsy and Ryan in the very place where their relationship began - Mercer University in Macon, Georgia! I have known Betsy since block bangs were "in"... and I'm not talking about when Zoey Deschanel reintroduced them. It was so fun to see a childhood friend celebrated as a BRIDE and capture such an amazing day for such sweet people.
We explored a few meaningful parts of Mercer's gorgeous campus before Betsy and Ryan had a moment alone to just connect even if they didn't see each other before heading into the ceremony at the Newton Chapel. It was the perfect place on campus for these two to say, "I do!" with its gorgeous stained glass windows and pews that curved inward giving every guest a perfect view. As they left the chapel as husband and wife, we were able to take advantage of the sun peeking through the clouds for portraits before heading to the reception venue in downtown Macon. The Historic Library Ballroom was packed full of friends and family so excited to celebrate this day with the new Mr. and Mrs. Young! Guests danced the night away (with some SERIOUS moves!) before sending Betsy and Ryan off with sparklers... including a rogue sparkler to the groom's face.** Congratulations again, Betsy and Ryan! I am so thankful to have been a part of your big day!
