I first met Meghan and Garrett in DC for their engagement session. After meeting at sunrise and exploring the Tidal Basin on a chilly morning I learned quickly that they are such a sweet, laid back couple. It should have been no surprise that they rolled with the punches when the forecast said 100% chance of rain for their wedding. I've had rainy wedding days before, but usually there's at least a little break... Not so much for Meghan and Garrett's day. Thankfully they were ready to get a little creative for their portraits with indoor spaces and the covered entryway to the Capital City Club. There were so many sweet moments throughout their wedding day, but one of my favorites was after their first kiss when the entire church erupted in cheers and applause. It took a minute for everyone to settle back down as they still had the second half of the service left! It was just one example of how excited everyone was to see Meghan and Garrett officially married. These two are loved and were celebrated so well throughout their wedding day and it was truly an honor to be a part of it! I started the morning at Meghan's parents' GORGEOUS home in Brookhaven and all the bridesmaids were getting final touches by Margaret Snider and her team and relaxing in their jammies. Before getting Meghan in her stunning classic gown, we had a little fun with some bubbly in the amazing (and well stocked) bar... which I've decided should be the backdrop to any of my future head shots. Once we got everyone dressed and ready, we headed to OLA so the wedding party could be tucked away. When Garrett saw me he gave me a hug and had the biggest smile on his face. To say he was excited is an understatement. Those big smiles and the excitement never ceased and it was contagious... even to the little girl that was so excited to have her moment in the spotlight and got on stage with the Main Attraction Band to sing and dance her heart out. The rest of Meghan and Garrett's day was filled with delicious food, flowing drinks, a packed dance floor and a lot of hugs. Meghan and Garrett thank you for being so gracious and kind. You two are incredible people but you somehow make each other even better. Love you two!!
