I had the honor of photographing Sarah and Ian's beautiful wedding day at Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega. As a pregnant person, being surrounded by wine was tough but it was SO great to be back behind the camera again. Sarah and Ian had just about the perfect weather for a September wedding and the large oak tree overlooking the vineyard was the most amazing backdrop for them to say, "I do!". A vineyard was also the perfect place for Ian to show off his champagne-sabering skills. Can you think of a better way to celebrate finally getting married than with popping bottles with a custom saber?
I had the pleasure of meeting Amira and Mahmoud for their maternity session a few weeks ago and couldn't wait to meet sweet Neda when I heard she made her arrival two weeks early! I love in-home newborn sessions because they not only allow mom and dad to feel comfortable in their own environment, but I get to capture the first place your little one calls home... besides mom's belly. Plus I love seeing how parents decorate the nursery! Neda has the nursery every girl dreams of and I told Amira I would totally move into her room if I could! This sweet family is doing such a great job to juggle all of the new parent twists and turns and doing it with a sense of humor which is all you can do in those first few weeks honestly! Neda you are pretty darn lucky to have so many people that love you and to have Amira and Mahmoud as your parents! Amira and Mahmoud - thank you for letting me in on this sweet time in your lives!!
Photographing a sweet little baby in their first few days or weeks into this world is such an honor. I am always humbled when couples trust me with some of their most cherished moments whether it's their wedding day or capturing their newest family member. For Feagan and John, I have had the pleasure of doing both! Seeing them as a couple and now as parents, you can easily see why they make such a good team - they are a TEAM! Little Luke is such a lucky little boy to have Feagan and John as his mama and daddy and I cannot wait to see him grow up! For now I hope they enjoy all those baby cuddles and having time together as a family of three. Feagan and John - thank you for letting me be a part of this chapter in your life. You have a super cute new distraction from the chaos outside and I couldn't be happier for you guys!!!
This Roswell Mill Club wedding was a long time coming! Colleen and Kaleb were supposed to be married in the spring, but COVID threw a wrench in those plans and unfortunately still impacted their wedding day. However, these two and their amazing family and friends made it feel as if we were back in a sense of "normal" and celebrated the newlyweds with flowing drinks and DJ-led dance moves. Colleen and Kaleb were just one of my couples that had to make really tough decisions in the face of a pandemic and I'm so proud that they always kept their hearts and minds set on what was important - starting their lives as husband and wife. The week before the wedding it was clear that Georgia was having a spike in cases and unsure what new government restrictions would be put in place, Colleen messaged me and said even if it's just us - we are getting MARRIED!
It's such an honor when your couples include you in their big life milestones, especially ones as precious as little Whit. I was so excited to see Brooke and Chris but I couldn't wait to meet their newest little one. He was an absolute angel and slept the entire time I was there. He didn't even mind it when his four legged siblings came to check him out. We are still in such uncertain, scary times but there is nothing like seeing a new life brought into the world that can bring you hope. Brooke and Chris are already great tag-team partners. I hope Mr. Whit knows just how lucky he is to have them as his parents! Brooke and Chris - thank you so much for letting me be a part of this amazing, wonderful and exhausting time in your life! My offer still stands to come entertain your four legged babies or take naps with Whit ANYTIME!
