Caroline and Darryl - thank you so much for letting us play a part in your day. I hope you are having a BLAST in Turks and Caicos! Get some sun and lots of drinks for me!

Last Saturday we had another GORGEOUS spring day for a beautiful wedding at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church and reception at Kimball Hall for Caroline and Darryl. These two are both engineers from Georgia Tech and with Caroline's attention to detail, I knew this wedding would be perfect and so very special. Caroline definitely had a specific vision for her day, one that included classic colors, traditional blooms, an epic first dance they had practiced for months and even a prank for her new husband during the garter toss... let's just say the "ice" on her hand wasn't the only "ice" she was wearing. As on any wedding day, there's a lot of hurry-up-and-wait time. The rhythm of a wedding day can definitely feel stressful, which is why it's important to have such an amazing group of family and friends surrounding you (and keeping you sane) on your wedding day! Caroline and Darryl had just that. Their wedding party and family members kept the day light, fun and were SO helpful! We started the day with the ladies all glammed and ready to go at Kimball Hall. Julie and her awesome team had everything almost ready that morning which made our job a breeze. With an early ceremony start, we zipped through photos until it was time for Caroline and Darryl to make it official! We had a nice "break" between the ceremony and reception although it was anything but a break! We used up all the time we had to capture beautiful portraits before Caroline changed into her dancing dress. Thank goodness she changed because with all the lifts and dips, there is no way it could've happened in her stunning form fitted wedding dress! Once the reception started, there wasn't any more hurry-up-and-wait time. From epic first dances, hilarious toasts, sweet poems read by Caroline's grandfather, and a packed dance floor - the rest of the night flew by. Caroline and Darryl were sent off into married life getting pelted in the face by flower petals in the Kimball Hall courtyard. Caroline and Darryl - thank you so much for letting us play a part in your day. I hope you are having a BLAST in Turks and Caicos! Get some sun and lots of drinks for me! Special thanks to Amanda of A.Bloch Photography for helping me capture this day and photographing the sweet little touches around Kimball Hall!!
